Lakas ng Loob at Disiplina?

I was once invited for a small encouraging but a bit frustrating talk by a certain group, I don’t want to disclose their name so as not to damage their reputation.

We’ll I am not actually against what they are offering or talking about, but it was the way it was delivered to me. At first they asked me a few questions. These are:

  1. What is your goal/dream?
  2. How can you achieve it?
  3. What do you want us to do for you?

Quite Interesting questions, so I answered them politely with a few words for each.

  1. Retire young.
  2. Invest
  3. clueless…. (cause I am un aware of who they are at the early stage, trying desperately not to understand what i am into hehehe)

At this point I am still clueless of what they are going to offer me, possibly a bond, a stock, or give me money, or have me invest in a business? I dunno.

While i’m at my peak thinking of what they they may be trying to tell me. They then asked me if I possessed these two qualities.

  • Discipline (tagalog - Displina)
  • Courage (Lakas ng loob)

I politely smiled and said yes. Then the magic came in when the person talking to me told me something like. “What if I tell you now that I can be sure that I can help you achieve your dream in a few years time.?”

So that is amazing, don’t you think? Imagine me retiring at a very young age, where most people wanted to target? This time, the question “how?” come’s in, then they offered me a savings plan.. oh man oh my… forgive me but how can you ever retire letting your money on these crazy savings plans?

and if even so, can you retire with only a few hundred thousands in the bank? given the fact that when acquiring a savings plan, your money can only gain a maximum of around 15 percent per annum…
